Skoda MissionL to arrive by year end in India

Skoda Auto is going to launch its new concept car, Mission L, in India by the end of this year. This news got exposed at the Frankfurt Motor Show going on in Germany where Skoda MissionL was unveiled for the first time.
Skoda Auto, a unit of Volkswagen Czech will place Skoda MissionL in a segment between Skoda Fabia and Skoda Octavia. Presently the car is under the final stage of development but as per sources the space offered in MissionL is a distinct feature to look at. According to HC Winfried Vahland Skoda Board chairman intimated that customers in India will see MissionL arriving in the market before the end of 2011. However, MissionL will be launched in Europe, Russia and China in 2012.
Vahland chalked out a futuristic comment by saying that MissionL compact model and the new products to follow are a guarantee of accomplishing Skoda’s goal to increase global annual sales to 1.5 million by 2018. Skoda is going to present a new car approximately every six months from now. Seeming to be very happy with MissionL, he said that MissionL reveals the look of Skoda’s new compact model which is the core of their “Model Offensive” strategy. He added that their current model portfolio is a success in the markets where they are present.
