Tesla to power new electric vehicle by Mercedes Benz

Daimler has made a lot of investment in Tesla Motors and now its time to bear fruits of those investments. Tesla and Daimler are ready and prepared to team up on a new Mercedes Benz electric vehicle. Tesla is good with electric vehicles and joining hands with Daimler for electric vehicle is certainly a positive idea. Tesla has already made its mark with its full electric sportscar, known as Tesla Roadster and this experience has certainly made Daimler more confident and clear about manufacturing and developing a new Mercedes Benz electric car with Tesla.

As per the 4th quarter earnings of Tesla, the firm is all prepared and ready to deliver a full powertrain for the new Mercedes Benz electric vehicle that would see light in near future. The components that would be supplied by Tesla will comprise of inverter, motor, transmission and other software, which are essential to keep the car going smooth al along. The fund or resource department will be finalized by the year end.

Tesla has already been delivering battery pack to Daimler for its Smart ED that means there is already a give and take procedure going on. At the 2011 Frankfurt Motor show, Mercedes Benz gave a few hints about developing a new electric vehicle while introducing Mercedes Benz B Class E-cell plus. Nonetheless, Mercedes Benz B Class was hybrid, while Tesla and Daimler joint venture will certainly produce an all electric vehicle.
