Toyota Etios Liva against Toyota Etios sedan, a new offer

Toyota Etios sedan that was launched last month has paved its way in the hearts of Indian customers and as a result the Japanese auto company is having a huge order backlog. And now Toyota Motors due to the huge order backlog of sedan has come out with an offer as for those who don't wish to wait for long can opt for Toyota Etios Liva instead. The hatchback will hit the Indian auto market in April. Other than the unique offer, the Japanese auto giant, Toyota is looking forward to increase the production of Toyota Etios soon to roll out the car.

As per the reliable sources from the company Toyota Motors is concerned that due to the long waiting for Toyota Etios for seven to eight months, customers may end up switching to the competitive car brands. That is why, Toyota has throught of giving the buyers an option to offer Toyota Etios Liva but still it is in process. But it is not sure if those customers will be kept in priority while delivering the hatchback Toyota Etios Liva loaded with 1200 cc powertrain expected in a price tag of Rs 4 lakh.

As per the auto maker they hope that the buyers will stick to the car brand wherein the waiting time for the car will be reduced as well. Currently, Toyota has its order book filled with 18,500 booking of the Toyota Etios and the company earlier announced to deliver the sedan in this month.

Sandeep Singh, Deputy MD (sales & marketing), Toyota Kirloskar said that the company is working towards different options and a strategy is still still to be worked on.

The Japanese auto giant has planned to invest Rs 3,200 crore in it manufacturing plant in Bangalore to manufacture 70,000 units of its sedan and compact car models in the first year of its commencement. From the reliable sources it is also being learnt that the company is keen on increasing the manufacturing of its new car models by the end of February.

Toyota Motors is earnestly working towards increasing the production of its cars and is planning to commence the second shift. Currently, the manufacturing unit has a total production capacity of churning 200,000 cars yearly, but still it will take sometime to increase to that level.

After an extensive research by the company Toyota Etios and Toyota Etios Liva, the two most strategically though of cars have been developed to capture 10 per cent market share in the Indian auto market. Currently, the company has low market share but Toyota Motors expects to roll out around 300,000 to 350,000 cars by 2015.

Sir i am from Mumbai, in ET newspaper it showed its ex delhi rate as 3.99, so might be on roads in mumbai it shall cost 4.40 approx but on site it is showing 5.59??? i was so happy i wld buy @ 4-4.50 but :(
