The Toyota Hyryder 7-seater will share plenty in common with the upcoming Maruti Grand Vitara 7-seater, which is slated for launch later this year
After the 7-seater version of the Maruti Grand Vitara was spotted earlier in 2025, its Toyota sibling, the Hyryder, has now made its first appearance in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The upcoming three-row SUV will share its underpinnings with the upcoming Grand Vitara 7-seater slated for launch later this year. Although the SUV was covered in heavy camouflage, a few key details were still visible, including the presence of three rows of seats. Let us take a look at everything that could be spotted on the spied 7-seater Hyryder:
What Could Be Spotted?
Although the rear design is heavily camouflaged, the LED tail lights are still visible and are sleeker and different from those on the 5-seater Hyryder. Interestingly, they seem to resemble the ones seen earlier on the spied test mule of 7-seater Maruti Grand Vitara.
A partial view of the side profile reveals a design similar to the current Hyryder, but with an extended rear section to make space for the third row of seats. The design of the alloy wheels are also different from what is offered with the current model.
Other visible features include a rear wiper, roof rails, and pull-type door handles, all of which are similar to what the 5-seater Hyryder offers. An auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, also offered in the 5-seater version, was seen as well.
Other Expected Amenities
While the interior design of the SUV is yet to be revealed, we expect it to get a bit more kit than the 5-seater model to set it apart. This may include a larger touchscreen than the existing 9-inch unit, a larger digital driver’s display, an 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, multi-colour ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, a heads-up display (HUD), a wireless phone charger, and a panoramic sunroof.
In terms of safety, the features recently updated in the 5-seater version, such as six airbags as standard should carry over to the 7-seater as well. Other likely safety features include a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and an electronic parking brake. It could also come with some advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Expected Price And Rivals
The 7-seater Toyota Hyryder is expected to be priced at a premium over the current 5-seater model, which ranges between Rs 11.34 lakh and Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India). Once launched in its production form, the three-row Hyryder will compete with the Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector Plus and the upcoming 7-seater version of the Maruti Grand Vitara.
