Indian auto market never seems to be at rest, especially with Volkswagen and Audi’s in the country what can one expect. Volkswagen is planning something big once again, though for the answers to ‘what’, ‘when’, ‘how’; all of us will have to wait, however we do have the answer for ‘where’. Volkswagen is soon launching, what looks like an exclusive website for the Jetta Petrol. The website does refer to what looks like a video test drive on Youtube but what it really is, we’ll have to wait to find out.
The Volkswagen Jetta petrol has been in news because of several reasons, the major being that it launched right in between crazy price rise of petrol. Volkswagen Jetta TSI comes at a price tag of Rs. 13.60 Lakhs for the Trendline and Rs. 15.07 Lakhs for the Comfortline (both prices mentioned ex-showroom New Delhi). Jetta is powered by a 1.4-litre TSI engine which delivers a power of approximately 121bhp at 5000rpm and a torque of 200Nm, mated to a manual transmission, 6-speed gearbox.
On the exteriors, it is about 90mm longer than the previous variant. The car comes with Alloy wheels, rear fog lights, side turn integrated ORVMs and dual exhaust pipes. The interiors are enhanced by leather upholstery, leather steering wheel and gear knob, rear ac vents, multi-function display “Plus”, front seat with height adjustment that allows better driving, parking with acoustic warning along with a few other features. The safety of the car is also enhanced with ESP, 6 airbags, front seat belt with height adjustment and seat belt tensioner, electronic engine immobilizer, engine and transmission guard.
