Volkswagen India is keen on upgrading its vehicles from time to time. The German automaker has now come up with a new update for the Jetta sedan interiors. Jetta got facelifted last year but was still missing the latest infotainment system. Now, Volkswagen has updated the same with a new one that was seen in recently launched Beetle.

The new infotainment hosts a whole lot of features, replacing the old one which incorporated buttons on the side for controlling the system. The updated unit sports touchscreen display, single CD player, Bluetooth, USB and Aux-in connectivity along with the facility to read SD card. The display also provide visuals for parking sensor with adaptive reverse guideline, however, the reverse camera is still missing which seems a bit of drawback, considering the segment it falls in. The decibels are powered by the same 4-speakers/4 tweeters system.

Volkswagen Jetta facelift was launched February last year and got prominent cosmetic changes in the form of new grille, headlights with DRLs and refreshed tail lamps at the rear. Inside, the car received dual toned scheme, flat-bottomed steering wheel and a handful of new safety features including 6 airbags, ABS, cruise control and fatigue detection system.

As per the mechanicals, Jetta still houses the same 1.4 litre TSI and 2.0 litre TDI engines. Where petrol comes paired with 6-speed manual, diesel trim gets the facility of both 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.

Volkswagen has also upped its sleeves for the upcoming grand event, the Auto Expo 2016. The carmaker will be bringing three brand new products for the Indian market and minorly updated existing ones. Its new vehicles include made for India compact sedan Ameo along with Tiguan SUV and Passat GTE plug-in hybrid model. Other products at the Volkswagen’s pavilion will be newly launched Beetle, Vento and Jetta sedan, Polo and Cross Polo respectively.
