Maruti Suzuki WagonR Think Big Challenge season3 has become one of the most actively contested challenges in the country. The contest, which started inviting applications since April 22nd, has already garnered a whopping 23000 registrations and is on its way to break all its past records. The registrations for Maruti Suzuki WagonR Think Big Challenge3 close on 1st June 2012. The competition since its inception in the year 2009, has received very encouraging response in the last two seasons. Season 1 and 2 saw an overwhelming response with over 1.25 lakh and 1.35 lakh registrations respectively. It is expected that the registrations this year will be higher than previous years.
The competition in the last two seasons has seen multiple ingenious business ideas that have emerged from various cities across the country. One such idea came from Miss Aparna Bhatnagar from Jaipur whose unique idea of an online store-'The Green and Good Store', that sells products that promise to bring about a positive environmental and social change in the world., led her to compete as one of the finalists from the west zone in the competition last year. The 3rd season of WagonR Think Big brings in more objectivity and greater focus towards the participants from specific target groups.
This year’s event has a new category specially designed for students from B-schools. Named as WagonR Think Big Challenge3-Young Turks it promotes entrepreneur spirit amongst the youth. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director, Maruti Suzuki India, said, “Our initiative to nurture innovative business ideas has seen huge popularity in the last two seasons. To encourage entrepreneurship among college students we have specifically added a new category this year. WagonR Think Big Challenge is an ultimate test of a business idea, passion, leadership and smartness”.
