After revealing a thinly disguised concept version at the Geneva Motor Show in March, the Spanish car maker that is also a part of the Volkswagen group, Seat has finally unveiled the production version of the latest generation of Toledo, the pictures of which were recently leaked on the internet. This car sits as the sister model of Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Rapid which also fall in the Volkswagen group; both the Vento and the Rapid sedans are known for their exciting design philosophy which is very different from each other at the front and the rear ends, at the wheel designs as well as interiors.

The new generation Seat Toledo Mk4 with 40mm length more than the Toledo Mk2 stands at 4,480mm. The wheelbase has also seen an increase of 82mm at 2,602mm from the previous version. The car will be equipped with a number of engine options from which the petrol avatar of the car will be powered either by 1.2L or by 1.4L turbocharged units which are capable of generating a peak power somewhere between 74bhp or 75PS and 121bhp or 122PS.

On the other hand the diesel version of the car will derive power from the 1.6L TDI engine that pumps out 103bhp or 105PS of power and from 2013 produce an output of 89bhp or 90PS. In the powerful petrol models the engine will be coupled with 7-speed dual-clutch DSG transmission as an option along with the standard manual gearbox.

The car has been bestowed with enough safety features that are required these days such as, airbags for driver and passengers, front, side and head/thorax airbags, central locking, two piece folding rear backrest and front power windows. The newest Toledo or the 2013 Seat Toledo will break covers first in Spain and Portugal by mid-November this year; the European market will fall next in line for the introduction followed by markets around the world and the launch is expected to happen in 2013. The key markets other than Spain for this car include Germany, Mexico and Turkey.
