2013 Skoda Laura revamped for Indian market

Skoda Laura the luxury sedan from the Czech auto maker is under going under a massive cosmetic change to gun against the existing and the coming rivals. The all new re-designed sedan, Skoda Laura which seems a craftsmanship excellence and engineers magnificence, will enter the India shores by 2013. Skoda Auto due to bankruptcy was taken over by Volkswagen AG. But with the alliance of the two car makers, it has given Skoda cars what went missing i.e., the X factor. The new look of Skoda Laura, is quite noticeable, the designers have worked really hard to change the looks of the sedan from its present cliche box look to the latest new genre sedan which speaks of what it has, oodles of style. Moreover, looking at the design, it can be safely said that the competitors of the sedan such as Honda Civic might have to rethink its chances in the market.

It seems now Skoda is up for the competition in the auto market with its looks and the technology it comes with. The dimensions which has been known from the reliable sources read as, 60 mm (length) and 40 mm (width). The new look of Skoda Laura suggests that it will heat the already intense competition in the domestic car market.

Skoda has few more reasons to rejoice in India. 2010 sales figures show that the Czech auto brand has made a mark in the country by selling 762,600 cars against 2009 sales of 684,200. Skoda Auto India observed a hike of 11.5 per cent sales and also crossed the mark of one million units in nine months for the first time. Currently Skoda owns four car models in different auto segments in India. These are the hatchback Skoda Fabia, the sedan Skoda New Laura and Skoda Superb and the SUV Skoda Yeti.
