2014 Mercedes-Benz C Class technical specifications leaked

Mercedes-Benz has locked December 16, 2013 for the world premiere of the next generation Mercedes C Class. It will also be making its global debut at the Detroit Auto Show which will take place next month. But as the premiere is approaching, some details have emerged out of this next gen saloon.

It is being learnt that the Mercedes-Benz C Class would be offered with three engine options. All the engines would be comprising of 4-cylinders, coupled with a 7G-TRONIC 7-speed dual clutch transmission. Not only this, the company would also introduce 6-cylinder engine options followed by an AMG variant in the later part of the year.

Inside the cabin, the next generation C Class, for the first time ever, would sport an optional head-up display. Additionally, a touch pad for the audio system, COMAND online, Garmin MAP PILOT, Burmester surround sound system etc. would be available inside the cabin to enhance the infotainment quotient. The best feature which will make its presence felt is 'Agility Wheel', as it enables the driver to transform chassis stiffness and steering feedback as per his wish.

Nothing conclusive regarding the pricing is revealed but it is believed that the C 220 BlueTEC variant would be priced around Rs. 32.5 Lakhs whereas the remaining two variants C 200 and C 180 would cost approx. 30.64 Lakhs and 28.20 Lakhs, respectively.
