500 Ford Mustang's booked in just 30 seconds!

Ford Mustang now officially returned to this side of Atlantic – European continent. The 'Blue Oval' is the official partner of Europe's biggest football league – UEFA champions league. The company opened the reservations for the new 2015 Mustang during the last match of the football league between – the Real Madrid CF and the Club Atlético de Madrid. In a span of 2 hours in between the final match, Ford received 9300 booking for the new Mustang. The best part wast that, they sold the first 500 Europe alloted Mustangs in mere 30 seconds – Hell ya! You cannot even count 500 in 30 seconds. This explains the enthusiasm and never-dying-love of the world towards this iconic machine.

Ford Europe's Vice President, Marketing, Sales and Service, Roelant de Waard commented on achieving this milestone - “We knew there was huge excitement building for the new 2015 Ford Mustang coming to Europe, but the response during the UEFA Champions League final was overwhelming." Roelant de Waard further added “It was a truly special way to kick off the Ford Mustang era in Europe.”

Deliveries of the 2015 Ford Mustang will start by the fall of this year. During the final match, Ford Europe opened the fastback and the convertible to the customers for reservations. The coupe was available in Race Red shade while the drop-dead was in Magnetic Silver. The engine option available for the bookings were the spanking new 2.3 liter Ecoboost 4-cylinder motor producing 305bhp of max power and tiny unit churns out a blistering 407Nm of peak torque. Apart from the EcoBoost, for the initial 500 bookings, Ford offered the massive 5.0 liter V8 Mustering 420bhp and 529Nm of max torque.

The European version offers several standard features, namely, black leather wrapped heated and ventilated seats, 19-inch alloys, second gen Ford Sync powered infotainment system with sat-nav, chrome detailing, LED signature lamps, to name a few.

The company will deliver the initial 500 Mustangs in around 20 European countries. Out of the 500, 130 will be specifically made for United Kingdom – right hand drive versions. Speaking about the right-hand versions, the Mustang's inception in UK marks the right-hand drive era for this American pony, be patient the new Mustang is reportedly coming to India as well! Cheers.
