Hyundai India recently launched the 2012 Hyundai Sonata Fluidic E-segment sedan and now the auto giant from South Korea is returning with a bang with the new i20 Fluidic hatchback. 2012 Geneva Motor Show was the curtain raiser for this 2012 Hyundai i20 Fluidic and since then it has been caught being tested a lot of times in and around Chennai. No special precautions have been taken to keep the new car from being spotted; this clearly leaves the spot open for speculations of a soon approaching launch. With the ‘Fluidic’ in the name of the new version of the Hyundai i20 hatchback it is evident that the car is based on the new Fluidic design philosophy.

The car is more of a facelift that is treated with the new design psyche of the company. The outside of the car especially, the front end is endowed with new headlamps, bumper and grille. The rear end of the car flaunts new taillights. However, the insides of the fluidic version would not undergo any makeover. Spanning the Indian roads at present are the petrol and diesel variants of the i20 hatchback. The Hyundai i20 Fluidic is available in both petrol and diesel variants which are said to be retained in the 2012 version too. The 2012 i20 Fluidic is expected to hit the showrooms in the next few weeks.

The current version of the i20 Fluidic has some serious issues with the steering that needs to be handled, like the steering feels lifeless when the car speeds up and also produces rattling sounds at times. The 2012 i20 Fluidic can be affixed with new and improved steering. The Fluidic styling of the i20 did not attract much fans so for the company’s sake we expect that the new 2012 version garners more sales than its precursor.
