Globally well acclaimed Fiat car models ironically did not go down well in the Indian car market. The same holds true for its premium hatchback Fiat 500. More or less a dead segment until last month suddenly sprang back to life with the launch of BMW Mini brand in India at the Auto Expo 2012 and Fiat seems to be determined to get back into action with renewed vigour with an all new Fiat 500. Expect all new Fiat 500 to be literally new from every angle because the Italian car manufacturer is looking to endow the car sprinkling some Italian charm and a more feasible model to suit as a family car.

Five door hatchback might lighten up the mood for many, although few might consider this move a little disturbing losing the originality in the process of running for money. At any cost, Fiat Motors is presently looking at the US and the European markets for the start and probably looking at the response might consider it launching in India as well. The outrageous Fiat 500 price combined with the three-door model has literally dampened the spirits of the Indians despite its cute looks and the extremely feasible diesel option. The car manufacturer had to settle down for dismal sales of the premium hatchback last year not that it had been doing well with its other models like Fiat Linea or Fiat Punto either.

The appealing exterior look has never been a let-down with Fiat cars where Fiat Punto with its super charged looks should have been top notch seller by now. However Fiat india is determined to take the situation well in control and the new Fiat Linea and Fiat Punto launches, the Fiat Café move are all in the right direction. So, probably, re-launching the more adaptable new Fiat 500 to Indian car demands could get the most required break for Fiat India. If the competition was ever lacking, BMW Mini Cooper, Mini Cooper S and the new Volkswagen Beetle are all there to give the necessary push to get Fiat into action.
