Ford EcoSport top-end Variant Caught Testing in India- Video

CarDekho has been constantly updating you on the upcoming Ford EcoSport, one of the most awaited vehicles of recent times. Last time, we disclosed the engine options it would come up with, it will have a total three engine options- the award winning 1.0-litre EcoBoost, a 1.5-litre Petrol mill and a 1.5-litre diesel motor. And as per our close sources, the compact SUV might be offered with automatic transmission as well to offer as much options as it can to buyers. Both the 1.5-litre diesel and petrol mills are the same used in company's flagship sedan, the Fiesta.

Recently a car enthusiast, Senthil from Tamilnadu caught the top-end diesel variant of the vehicle doing test- mules somewhere in Tamilnadu, and he has also been able to smartly shoot the video of the car even when it was in speed, which gives us a fair idea what all features the top-end variant of EcoSport will come up with. What makes us believe that the caught vehicle is the top-end variant, is the 'Titanium' badging that the company uses for all its top-end variants, which however isn't clearly visible in the video. The cobweb styled alloy wheels, roof rails, body coloured fittings and rear wiper further assures that it has got all the top-end variant like fitments.

The caught car seems the production-ready version, as it has all the emblems and bar code stickers. And like the company has already disclosed that they would launch the vehicle in February, so we are sure that it's the same version which will hit the market. As far as the pricing is concerned, the vehicle might be priced considerably lower than its closest rival Renault Duster, thanks to 80% localised content.
