Ford Fiesta Classic to be launched on April 7 in India

Ford India, the pride owner of Ford Figo, is ready to launch a new variant of its popular sedan Ford Fiesta in the domestic market on April 7th, 2011. The launch event will be organised in Chennai in the presence of Ford's senior personal and media people. Ford Fiesta comes in Ford's best selling cars and now it is going to touch sales mark of 100,000 units, so overwhelmed company is to celebrate this milestone by launching this special version which will come loaded with some new features and specs along with impressive appearance.

For a along time, these rumours were there in the air that Ford India is going to stop the production of its Ford Ikon Sedan and to fill up it's space, the company is unveiling this new Sedan. In terms of power and performance, it will be major competitor of Toyota Etios, Tata Manza, Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Mahindra Logan. The company has not announced the pricing details of the car but it might be disclosed on the launching occasion.

Presently Ford Fiesta is available in two engine variants like 1596 cc petrol and 1399 cc diesel engine. The petrol variant of the car is powered by a 1596cc engine that delivers mileage of 10.5 kmpl in urban areas and 15.3 kmpl on highways but 1399 cc diesel engine variant of the car is very fuel efficient that provides average mileage  of 14.9 kmpl in city and 17.8 kmpl on Highway.
