Ford India looking for improved capacity

At the time when the Indian auto industry is facing a tremendous growth, Ford India is coming up with some aggressive plans to improve the production capacity of the company. The US based car creator is facing a real good time in the Indian auto market with sales growing at commendable rate. With this Ford Motors is looking forward to further improve its position in this market with better production capacity.

At the occasion of all new Ford Fiesta Classic launch in India, Ford India the Managing Director and President Michael Boneham commented that the company will soon come up with investment plans for its operations in India as the existing facilities have a good capacity for expansion.

For now the company is able to roll out a total of 200,000 cars every year in Indian auto market. On the other hand the Ford engine plant has a capacity of 250,000 cars every year by worked upon in three shifts.

Mr. Boneham has also said that the manufacturing facility of Ford is working two folds and with that it will be able to produce a total of 150,000 cars by year end. This is going to prove real beneficial for the company as this major step will help Ford in improving its presence in one of the fastest growing market on globe.

In the beginning of this year Ford was able to mark a sale of 29,804 cars which is a success in itself. In 201 the toll was 83,887 cars.
