Ford India Recalls EcoSport Diesel to Relocate Glow Plug Module

Ford India that launched the EcoSport on July 25th has now recalled the diesel version of the compact SUV to relocate the glow plug module. The company has been contacting all the customers who bought the diesel EcoSport to fix the problem, which will be done free of cost.

Addressing the issue, Ford India has releases a statement which reads, “As a part of routine checks, we discovered a potential concern with EcoSport diesel variants related to the glow plug module which requires relocating the module. We are contacting customers to take their vehicle to their Ford dealership to have the work carried out.”

Launched in three different engine options- 1.5-litre diesel, 1.5-litre petrol and 1.0-litre EcoBoost Petrol, the EcoSport costs between Rs. 5.59 lakh and 9.00 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Read our Ford EcoSport road test review to know the performance of the car.
