General Motors will be breaking the covers of the Chevrolet Trax SUV at the Paris Motor Show which is scheduled for September this year but is has released the first image of the SUV ahead of the debut. The Chevrolet Trax is expected to hit the showrooms by early next year and the prices are anticipated to begin from £15,000. Following the footsteps of Vauxhall Mokka and Corsa, the Trax SUV has adopted the same platform and the engine and at same time it has also followed a more rugged design in comparison to the Mokka concept which was showcased in the Geneva Motor Show in March this year.
The newfangled Chevrolet SUV Trax is a bit squatty when it comes to styling, it flaunts wheel arches that are curving outward and grille that is typical of the Chevrolet family. The arch rivals of this Chevrolet SUV are Nissan Juke and Skoda Yeti. The engine line-up doing duty in the Mokka has also made a place in this car which is 1.4-liter petrol engine churning out a peak power of 138 BHP and 1.7 liter turbo diesel engine generating 128 BHP of peak power. Both the drive option, two and four wheel will be made available. No further details have been released but the Trax is expected to be blessed with similar space as that of the Vauxhall Mokka and the US model Buick Encore. The boot space offered in the Encore is 533 liters and the luggage space can go as up as 1,372 liters when the seats are folded.
