Everything in this materialistic world has an end. This fact also become true with Maruti Suzuki Zen. The company has decided to phase out the the Zen as a new version of the car is to be launched to fill the gape. Once a very popular luxury compact car, Zen, now do not fit in the present. Maruti Suzuki sold around 8.8 lakh units of the car so far that is accounted for 10 per cent of the total 81 lakh units since the company started selling cars in India. Mayank Pareek (Maruti’s managing executive officer in-charge of marketing and sales) said that the car don't match the new era of machines and the company has to close the chapter. Maruti saw a major decline of the demand of the car at the end of the year 2006.The company launched its new variant Maruti Zen Estilo but failed. The new version, however, failed to cut much ice in the market and could manage to sell around 1.2 lakh units till date, averaging only around 3,000 units monthly, of late, after heavy discounts. The not so enthusiastic performance of the car has now prompted the company to go in for an all-new design with a new petrol engine as well as changes to the exterior and the interiors, sans the ‘Zen’ brand.one more company is going to launch its new car that is Tata Indigo Vista
