Hyundai has recently showcased its latest Concept, the Vision G. The concept coupe gets a sportback silhouette that gives it a dynamic feel. The car is powered by a 420bhp 5.0 litre V8 that Hyundai says is the future; sounds interesting.
The Vision G is designed mainly by a team of designers from USA but the inputs are taken from the manufacturers design studios across the globe. Moreover, the officials from Hyundai have said that power isn’t the focus of this car, but “the notion of chivalry’.
Speaking of the car, it's an art piece without any pillars and is quite huge with a long frontal snout and that coupe roof. The badging carries the Genesis moniker, indicating that this could convert into a future derivative for a coupe variant. The front gets a monstrous grille, huge wheels of the sides and a slingshot form.
The pictures of the interiors shows use of leather and wood along with the incorporation of latest tech that reflects in the form of some over the top display screens on the inside. There is place for four people to sit in on the highly bolstered seats. Self-opening doors are among other features in this luxury coupe.
Peter Schreyer, Hyundai CEO, said that “you don’t need to be over the top in term of glitz and stereotypical luxury cues”. While, Chris Chapman, head of Hyundai’s US design centre said that “In keeping with the design that speaks to the owner rather than the spectators who might see the car on the road, Vision G appears dynamic and in constant motion.” The project was led by him only.
