Lewis Hamilton wins Spanish Grand Prix; Consecutive fourth win of the season

It was all Lewis Lewis..Mercedes Mercedes roar at the grand stands of Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, as the British driver took his season's fourth consecutive victory at the Spanish Grand Prix leaving behind his team mate Nico Rosberg with just half a second difference.

With this win, Lewis Hamilton also took a three-point championship lead over his team mate as he finishes his 66 laps of 191 miles (307.385 kms) in 1:41:05.155 with an average speed of 182.282 mph (293.35 kmph). The German driver Rosberg was just a 0.636 seconds behind as he finished second in a very clutch close race.

Daniel Ricciardo of team Red Bull came third with a difference of more than 49 seconds while his partner Sebastian Vettel finished fourth. Moreover, Ferrari's Fernando Alonso and his partner Kimi Raikkonen managed to finish at sixth and seventh position and scoring 8 and 6 points respectively. For the team Force India, it was a bit tough day as both the drivers Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg finished ninth and tenth position. Valtteri Bottas of team Williams ended up at fifth position while his team mate Felipe Massa finished at thirteenth position.

I'm very proud the team managed to hold onto the advantage we had. Our ambition is to extend it," Rosberg said. "We managed to keep it similar, which is fantastic to see because Barcelona is such a milestone in the season. Historically, if you're quick here you're going to keep an advantage for the next couple of races. In the teams tally, Mercedes is still on top undisputedly with 197 points, getting no serious competition from Red Bull Racing-Renault on second with 84 points and Ferrari on third with 66 points. From the bulls of Spain, the F1 circuit now moves to the princely states of Monaco, where drivers will race to break new records.
