Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe Concept headed to Frankfurt

CarDekho has been constantly updating you about the cars to be unveiled at the upcoming 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. Mercedes-Benz, the German luxury car maker will unveil the much anticipated GLA crossover and the S63 AMG at the event. According to some media reports, Mercedes-Benz also plans to showcase a concept of the S-Class Coupe at the next month's Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany.

The vehicle has already been caught a couple of times during its test runs, and now it is reported that the concept S-Class Coupe could make its way to IAA, scheduled for September 10. In addition to this, photographers managed to click the concept's key fob which had the "CL 217" lettering, clarifying that Mercedes-Benz might continue with the CL-Class badge.

It is also expected that the production version of the S-Class Coupe will be revealed at NAIAS in Detroit in January 2014, and the bookings for the vehicle will start in the same month while deliveries will begin in March. The vehicle is likely to retain the engine configuration of the 2014 S-Class - a V6 3.0-litre twin-turbo engine that develops 333bhp, a 455bhp, V8 4.7-litre and a twin-turbo V8 5.5-litre that produces 593bhp.
