Ratings correspond to a site’s interest for tourists and are defined for the readers as: three stars Highly Recommended; two stars Recommended and one star Interesting. The “starred” attractions can be seen at a glance on a general map of the destination inside the front cover. Michelin’s local writers have walked and driven, visited and shopped and tried local cuisines at every tour, sight, hotel, restaurant, boutique, café and venue mentioned in the guide.
