This week was a jam packed one , multiple launches, festive offers/discounts, announcements on upcoming cars and what not happened in these 7 days, which gives us a clear picture that what shape the Industry is going to take in coming months. The biggest news of the week was no doubt the unveiling of the first official images of the new Alto 800 that has recieved a mixed response all around, moreover the vehicle has already bagged over 6500 bookings even before its scheduled launch on 16th October. CarDekho also covered all the launches that took place this week like Nissan Micra Primo Ranbir Kapoor Special Edition, New Volkswagen Touraeg 10th anniversary edition, Toyota Etios TRD Sportivo, Toyota Corolla Altis festive edition, Two economical caravans by Basecamp, made in India version of Mercedes-Benz M Class, ML 250 CDI and some international ones.
Then there have been some big announcements on the upcoming cars including Ford Figo Facelift on October 15th, New Tata Manza Club class on October 16th, Chevrolet Sail U-VA hatchback on 2nd November, Ford EcoSport in February 2013, Chevrolet Sail Sedan, Enjoy MPV and other 4-5 cars from General Motors, Honda Brio diesel sedan by first quarter of 2013 and some more.
We also got you the spy pictures of the left-hand driven Mahindra Genio double cabin pick-up that is to be exported in various international markets. Other than that, there have been some other cars that were spotted doing test runs in India including Mahindra SsangYong Rexton SUV, New Honda CR-V and Nissan Micra Facelift. Toyota Corolla Altis Festive Edition Launched
After introducing the all new Corolla Altis Aero in June this year, Toyota Kirloskar Motors launched the festive edition Corolla Altis to mark the 10th anniversary of the car in India. Offering some additional features, the limited edition version has been made available on both petrol and diesel engine, however it would cost Rs 40,000 to 80,000 additionally than the existing variants.

Mercedes ML 250 CDI Launched at Rs. 46.5 Lakh
Mercedes-Benz finally launched the cheaper M-Class, ML 250 CDI in India at Rs 46.5 lakh. The Japanese auto giant Nissan's Indian arm introduced a Ranbir Kapoor Special edition of its popular hatchback Micra that they named Primo. The Primo has been offered with a bunch of new features and accessories helping it do even better during the festive season. However, the buyer has to pay an additional sum of Rs 22,000 over the existing price.

Basecamp Launches Two Caravans in India at Rs 16 and 22 lakh
Mumbai based Basecamp that is in the business of marketing travel equipments and outdoor sports accessories in India launched the first ever caravan range in New Delhi this week. Having collaborated with German firms Hymer and Dethleffs, Basecamp rolled out two models; Hymper Sporting 465 and Dethleffs New Line 410 TK priced at Rs 22 lakh and 16 lakh respectively.
