Nissan Sunny spotted near Chennai

After launching Nissan Sunny in China, it was spotted taking test drives in India. The car has been caught near Chennai airport at Renault-Nissan plant during the evening. It seems that the company is working rigorously to launch Nissan Sunny on the Indian roads soon.

The car has been spied again on the Indian roads, wrapped in black, taking test drives around Chennai. The Japanese auto biggie has pulled its socks and is all set to render this new car in the exponentially growing Indian auto market. Known as the Nissan Sunny in China, this global sedan will be the second offering based on the ‘V’ platform after the Nissan Micra in India. It is being highly speculated that this new baby from the Japanese auto giant will have close resemblance from its sibling Nissan Micra which has already been launched in China, followed by 170 countries worldwide including India.

This car is considered to have similar specification as US version and it has been known that it may be powered by  a 1.6 liter petrol 4 cylinder petrol engine which can punch out 100 bhp  and 1.5 liter diesel engine which concludes that  Nissan Sunny sedan will be based on Nissan Micra platform .

Nissan Sunny will gun straight against cars like Volkswagen Vento, new Hyundai Verna and the New Ford Fiesta.Sources close to the development revealed that Nissan Sunny is expected to be launched on or before the festive season.If we talk about its price range then it is expected to be priced competitively between Rs 4.75 to Rs 6.25 lakh.
