June is an exciting month, as it has several launches packed in it. Volvo, Audi, Tata, Nissan will be launching their products. We can also expect a lot more products in the coming months. This has been an exciting week, as we share news stories on several vehicles that will be launched in the coming months.
The Tata Sumo Gold, Indigo eCS, Nano upgrade, Volvo V40 and even the Audi S6. If you have missed out on the news this week, we have our special weekly wrap-up for you.
Volkswagen Polo GT TDI test mules spotted
In a hunt to catch one Volkswagen Polo test mule, we carried on a chase to find a fleet of them that had halted at a point. These vehicles had a GT badge on the front grille, and the rear one was taken off. Read more
Range Rover Sport coming in September
In the first-edition of CarDekho Awards, one category amongst the ten was of the Most Popular Luxury Vehicle. We are several strong contenders for this, however Range Rover Evoque merged out as the strongest with the highest number of votes. Jaguar Land Rover India’s Head, Mr Rohit Suri collected the trophy on behalf of the British marquee. Toyota Recalls Corolla Altis Diesel
Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced a recall for its Corolla Altis Diesel sedan. It is the part of the company's commitment towards the Customer First Philosophy, which have started a recall campaign in the month of May. The campaign is for Corolla Altis diesel developed between 3rd August 2012 and 14th February 2013. Read more
Skoda to launch the Octavia in October, Laura to be discontinued
Skoda India had recently discontinued its Fabia and now the Czech Republic manufacturer will launch the new Octavia in October. The Octavia will replace the Laura brand, to carry on the same badge as the international moniker. Read more
Mercedes-Benz A-Class Launched at Rs. 21.93 lakh
And here comes the much anticipated Mercedes-Benz A-Class premium hatchback, which has introduced an all new segment in the country, which will later be joined by BMW 1-Series and Volvo V40 Cross Country. Launched both in the petrol and diesel versions, the all new Mercedes-Benz A-Class returns the mileage of 15.5kmpl and 20.07kmpl respectively. While the A180 Sport (Petrol) is priced at Rs. 22.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai), the diesel engine powered A180 CDI (diesel) costs Rs. 21.93 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Read more
Audi now in Bhubaneswar, Orissa
The German luxury carmaker, Audi has now opened its first world-class showroom in Bhubaneswar, Orrisa, taking the total no. of Audi dealerships to 26 in India. The showroom was inagurated by Mr. Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India, Mr. Devjyoti Patnaik, Managing Director, Audi Bhubaneswar (M/S Jyote Premier Pvt. Ltd.) and leading Indian Bollywood actor, Ms. Lara Dutta. The company which has been doing superb in terms of sales in India, aims to takes its total dealership no. to 34 by the end of this year, so to reach more and more customers all over India. Read more

Most-powerful BMWs launched, will they come to India too?

Volvo V40 Cross Country Launching on June 14
June 14, 2013 it is, when the much anticipated Volvo V40 Cross Country will make its Indian debut at the company's new showroom in Gurgaon. Volvo's Indian car line-up includes S60, S80, XC60 and XC90, the V40 Cross Country will be the most affordable Volvo car ever to lure young professionals. Volvo V40 Cross Country is basically an off-roading capable version of the V40 hatch, so, it enjoys image of being both an off-roading competent vehicle and luxury hatchback. New Mercedes-Benz S-Class reached China; India launch by year end
Few days back, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the all new 2014 S-Class at an event in Germany, and now the car has already reached the Chinese auto market. CarnewsChina team has managed to click some of the pictures of new S-Class, which was spotted in its cargo pallet at the Tianjin Binhai International Airport. Only S500 variant was spied at the Airport, and it is also expected that the China based S-Class model will make its first appearance at the 2013 Chengdu Auto Show in September. Read More
