Skoda, the Czech auto major will bring in an all new Skoda Fabia based on Volkswagen MQB platform in the year 2014. This new hatchback much before its launch is sizzling the market. The new Fabia will be based on Volkswagen MQB or Modular Transverse Matrix Platform. The Modular Transverse Matrix Platform aka MQB is the base for many forthcoming Volkswagen Group vehicles like the next gen Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Polo and Vento.

As per the words on street MQB based Skoda Fabia will come with an all new three-cylinder TDI engine and will have a slightly longer wheelbase that appeals to the driver driven car buyers. Reports also suggest that the next gen Volkswagen Polo, Fabia’s cousin , will also have an increased wheelbase however the wheelbase will be increased without expanding the length of the car.
