The all new Volkswagen Passat to launch on 29th March

Volkswagen India has set the stage to unveil its new Volkswagen Passat. Rumours are doing the rounds that the German auto mobile's Indian arm will launch the next generation premium luxury sedan Volkswagen Passat on 29th March.
Volkswagen Passat, the seventh generation car is based on the same platform, however mostly its body parts have been replaced. When compared the new luxury sedan from its older version, it measures only four millimeters long at 4769 mm. However, the new Volkswagen Passat height and width are untouched.

The sedan has gone under cosmetic changes such as a fresh looking front grille and new headlamp treatment, more of the chrome and new smartly clubbed tail lights at rear. The interior of the new sedan is well built ,looks impeccable. Though it is with Volkswagen Passat the luxury car that it attracts the onlookers. It includes horizontally split dash board and inset instrumental dials. The quality upholstery and better chrome treatment gives it a niche above the others.

The sources close to the development has unfolded that Volkswagen is expected to be adorned with 2.0 TDI diesel and 1.8 TSI petrol powertrain. However, both the mills are familiar that the 2.0 TDI will churn a horse power of 170 bhp in comparison to the present engine it is 32 bhp more.Close sources revealed that it will be available in two options manual and DSG geaboxes.

Apart from the technology and design, Volkswagen has always been known for the safety features it adds in its cars. The sedan currently being offered in European auto markets is being appreciated for the various features it is adorned with. While for India it is expected to be the same. As per the industry experts this seventh generation sedan will be priced a bit high than the current tag it holds.
