Volkswagen Jetta facelift launched

Volkswagen India has silently launched the updated Jetta saloon in the country. The new Jetta is now available in three trim levels with price ranging from Rs. 13.7 lakh to Rs. 19.43 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The vehicle gets cosmetic upgrades both on the inside and outside, however the mechanics remain the same.
The new Jetta gets a new lighting system, featuring a new xenon headlights with washers and LED daytime running lights arranged in an L-shaped manner. The Trendline and Comfortline variants now features an all-new 16-inch 'Sedona' alloy wheels. On the inside, the vehicle gets a dual-zone climatronic AC and a new, bluetooth compatible audio system. It also has various safety features including ABS, ESP (electronic stabilization program) and six airbags.
The Jetta saloon continues to derive its power from the 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. While the petrol model churns out a maximum power output of 122bhp and 200Nm, the diesel model develops 140bhp and 320Nm of top torque. The diesel engine is also offered with a six-speed DSG automatic gearbox, while others get six-speed manual.
