After the successful era of the first generation Hyundai i10, the second generation, facelift of the i10 is expected to come in sometime in 2014. The first set of spy pictures of the 2014 Hyundai i10 have surfaced for the prototype, caught while doing the test runs. The new i10 is expected to be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show, 2013.
The speculations are that the engine of the new i10 will also see a change and a new 1.0-litre Kappa engine might be used which will be especially designed for the Indian market. The impatience for the i10 however is because of the expected 1.1-litre diesel engine i10. (Hopefully!)
Coming back to the prototype, the pictures reveal that the front fascia will have a fresh look with new headlights, a new fresh bumper with slopping down roof lines along with rising shoulder lines. Also, it seems that the hatchback might be getting a little bigger than the current version, making it a little spacious in comparison.
Currently the i10 in India is powered by either a 1086cc or 1197cc mill in petrol and LPG models. The price ranges from Rs. 3.65 Lakh to Rs. 6.11 Lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi prices). The dimensions of the prevailing version of the car are 3,565mm in length, a width of 1,595mm, height of 1,550mm and a 2,380mm wheelbase which stand at a ground clearance of 165mm.
