The 2014 Renault Fluence facelift has been spotted several times during its test round on the Indian roads. This facelift version of company's flagship sedan was also caught earlier in July, which clearly indicates that production has already kicked off and most probably, 2014 Indian Auto Expo would be the platform where it would be making its India debut. Renault's vision is clear that it would not launch any new vehicle in India, instead it would introduce the facelifts of its pre-existing vehicles such as Fluence, Duster and Koleos.
As known, the facelifted Fluence made its global debut at the Istanbul Auto Show in the second half of 2012. Even, followed by the unveiling, its sales begun rapidly without any delay in the European Markets. In the exterior of updated 2014 Fluence, the head lamps have been redesigned. Renault's traditional yet an all new grille with a brand new front bumper is introduced in this sedan. Additionally, LED running lights further enhance the appearance of the car as well as the front fascia.
The rear and side profile remain the same altogether except the inclusion of a new contemporary alloy design. Inside the cabin, there are not much noteworthy changes to mention except the modified upholstery on the seats. The iconic dashboard layout is retained from the ongoing model. Another remarkable addition is that the top-end variants now get Renault’s new R-Link multimedia system with an integrated navigation system. Mechanically, the sedan has got changes and it is similar to the pre-facelift version as Renault will continue offering it with 1.5-liter K9K diesel engine and 2.0-liter petrol engine, which is mated to a CVT transmission.
