Chevrolet has showcased its mid-size pickup, Chevrolet Colorado, at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. Though there is no conformation on whether the bow-tie brand has any plans to launch the pickup in India, Colorado looked fiery in its fury orange paint scheme with black strikes. It was designed to offer real truck capability and versatility in mid-size - to customers who don't require a full-size truck.
Built with the DNA of a true Chevy truck, the new Colorado is available in three engine options globally - two petrol engines, a 2.5L and a 3.6L V6 and one diesel engine - a 2.8L unit. The 2.5L four cylinder puts out 193 hp and torque of253 Nm, with approximately 90 percent of the peak torque available from 2,000 rpm to 6,200 rpm. The 3.6L engine makes a maximum power of 302 hp with 366 Nm peak torque.
The latest to join the engine line up is the 2.8L Duramax diesel engine making 181 hp at 3,400 rpm and 500 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. All models are mated to a six speed automatic transmission.
Other features include CornerStep rear bumper design, EZ Lift-and-Lower tailgate, two-tier loading, thirteen standard tie-down locations throughout the bed, bed rail and tailgate protectors.
