Mahindra has revealed the AdrenoX, its new UI that will power the infotainment system of the upcoming XUV700. As we earlier reported, the XUV700 and new-generation Scorpio will be the earliest recipients of this new family of infotainment systems.
The XUV700 will come with dual integrated 10.25-inch screens, consisting of a touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster. The XUV700 will offer branded Sony speakers, including roof-mounted ones with various sound modes.
It will further get Amazon Alexa integrated into the system with in-car support, making it the first car in India to get this feature. The XUV700 will be powered by Alexa for hands-free access to entertainment, information and offline vehicle control. Basically, it can give you notifications, play songs, open the windows/sunroof, pre-cool the cabin, operate ambient lighting and perform various other functions, all through voice access. We are expecting it to be triggered by the phrase “ Alexa” like the Echo devices at home. Moreover, it will also boast offline support from Echo devices like the Honda City.
Till now, features such as drive modes (diesel-only), panoramic sunroof, driver drowsiness detection system, air filter technology, flush-fitting door handles, and high-beam assist have been teased. In the latest teaser, Mahindra has showcased the LED headlamps and tail lights of the XUV700.
The Mahindra XUV700 will come with the Thar’s 150PS 2-litre turbo petrol and 130PS 2.2-litre diesel engines, but retuned for higher output. Mahindra should offer the SUV with both 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options. A segment-exclusive optional all-wheel drive (AWD) will also be available.
