Audi R8 Exclusive Selection Editions for the U.S.A

Audi R8 seems to be creating quite a lot of buzz these days. Before the new facelift for the R8 launches, Audi is presenting the U.S.A market with the exclusive edition for the car. Audi will be offering twenty 2012 Exclusive Selection Edition R8 V8 vehicles and thirty 2012 Exclusive Selection Edition R8 V10 vehicles which will be arriving sometime later this month.

The V8 version comes with new exterior colors, exclusive interior finishes with the Daytona Gray matte exterior making its debut, carbon fiber exterior splitters, 19inch titanium 5-arm double spoke wheels, red brake calipers etc. The cabin has Crimson Red elements and contrast stitching, exclusive leather Navigation surround, and a thicker contoured leather multifunctional steering wheel for a sportier grip. The R8 V8 Excusive Edition will be equipped with 4.2-litre FSI engine which is capable of churning 430bhp at 7,900rpm.

On the other hand the 2012 Exclusive Selection Edition R8 V10 comes with Ibis white exteriors, with contrasting black sideblade, exterior mirrors, and rear license plate and 19inch bi-color e-tron wheels. In the cabin there is an exclusive leather Navigation surround and contoured steering wheel. The V10 is powered by a 5.2-litre FSI engine which produces 525bhp at 8,000rpm.

These exclusive versions can be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or automatic R tronic transmission. These versions of the R8 with the Audi Quattro and ultra-light weight technology deliver superior speed, performance and handling.

The price of the 2012 Exclusive Selection Edition R8 V8 manual transmission is USD 137,700 which equals to Rs. 76.22 Lakh, the R8 V8 R-tronic transmission is tagged at USD 146,800, which is close to Rs. 81.24 Lakh. On the other hand, the 2012 Exclusive Selection Edition R8 V10 manual transmission is tagged at USD 161,500 which amounts to Rs. 89.39 Lakh and the R8 V10 R tronic transmission comes at USD 170,600 which is close to Rs. 94.45 Lakh.
