Audi will be launching the performance edition of the A7 the RS7. The RS7 will be a great product for Audi to begin the New Year with, as even Mercedes-Benz will be introducing the S-Class in the next of couple of days, after this launch. This produces 560bhp of power, which is more than that of the Audi R8 as well.
Audi India became the largest selling luxury car brand last year and now the company is preparing to have another strong year. It launched the Q3S, S6 and several variants of the A4 and A6 last year, and not to forget facelift of RS5 and Q5. It has been a good year for Audi. There has been a change in management lately, as Michael Perschke moved back ahead a successful tenure in India. Joe King replaced him as the new face of India.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr Joe King stated, “Audi has emerged as a winning brand by closing the year on a record-making note with 10002 units sold in a single year in India. The credit for this historic achievement lies with our customers, dealers and the team. They have loved, supported and encouraged us all the way to this accomplishment. Every single year Audi is creating history in India and getting deeply etched into the minds of Audi fans and enthusiasts. For us customer experience and customer loyalty is priceless and as a continuous commitment to enrich it, we will roll-out a gamut of initiatives including various after-sales programs, which will be our main area of focus in 2014. We are resolute as we enter a new year that we will also make 2014 a landmark year for us in terms of new achievements and memorable highlights in enhancing customer delight.”
India is a key market for automotive industry and it is said that in the coming years, we will be the fastest growing market too. Audi will also launch the A3 sedan and the new Q7 too. Audi might not introduce hatchbacks like Mercedes-Benz, BMW or Volvo and it will stuck with Q3 and A3 as the entry-level product for the Audi brand.
When asked about the RS7 Sportsback, he mentioned, "At 560bhp, this is even more powerful than the R8 sportscar and is sure to get the pulses racing." This will be the most powerful Audi on offer in India very soon.
