BMW 6 Series Gran Touring Rivaling with Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake

Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake has been unveiled recently and has bring back the rumours that BMW is considering a 6-Series Gran Touring / Gran Turismo. This rumour has been in the automobile industry since 2010 when BMW’s head of development, Dr. Klaus Draeger had revealed the company created 6-Series Shooting Brake concept.
This concept model has never been unveiled but since the concept was revealed, a stream of 6-Series variants which included the coupe, convertible and Gran Coupe were available with the car manufacturers. As per the reports, the model is speculated to launch in the first quarter of the year 2014.
Reports also say that the model will be based on the 6-Series Gran Coupe which will be featuring a sloping roofline with slender rear windows incorporated in it. The model is said to have the same engine as that of the standard model along with the features of an M variant and a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine will also be used that will develop 558bhp of output and 680Nm of maximum torque.
