BMW likely to bring BMW-i Hybrid and Electric cars

Electric cars are the new name which is popping up in everyone's mind these days. Many global auto biggies are coming with new advance EVs and other hybrid car products. Governments of various countries like US are also supporting the new technology. Indian government is taking required steps to apprehend the use of electric cars.
As per the reports in media BMW, the German car marvels are looking forward to launch its sub 'i' sub-brand in Indian auto market. However, the Germans will introduce hybrid cars and electric cars in India only if the demand outstrips in the coming time.
As per the speculations its was mentioned that for US auto market and European auto market, BMW -i will be introduced the 'i3 Megacity', it is a four seater car with rear wheel drive, the electric car which will be later followed by i8 the sports plug-in hybrid car. The 'i' car brand will focus on the luxury end of hybrid car and electric car market and will target on the sustainable automobiles solutions via the use of carbon-fibre for lesser weight and more accomplished drive train machinery.
As per the top BMW executive the company has introduced BMW -i just like BMW-M brand to capture the next level of premium category. BMW believes that it is vital to bring in new concepts, technology and manufacturing. The auto giants' car products are manufactured for all sorts of auto markets. As per the report BMW -i came out of 'Project-i', the auto giant started up in 2007 to generate a new alternative automobile technologies for manufacturing. BMW tested the 600 Mini E compact in 2008 which were followed by 1,000 cars of ActiveE car concept for this year. Other than hybrid and electric cars the company also manufactures cars by using carbon fibre reinforced plastic, it is light in weight but strong and also better corrosion resistant over aluminium and steel.
