BMW to bring entire Mini car line-up in India

The British marque Mini brand is owned by the luxury car manufacturer, BMW. BMW has been planning to introduce the Mini cars in India for some time now. The latest information reveals that BMW is going to launch the whole product line-up from the Mini brand in India next year. During the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, Andreas Schaaf, the President of BMW had announced the launch of Mini Cooper in India at an expected price of Rs 25 lakhs. The BMW Mini Cooper is expected to target the premium small car models like Fiat 500 and Volkswagen Beetle.

The Mini brand envisages increasing the product-line up that includes the various variants of Mini Cooper. Though well-known as a two-door coupe, the Mini Cooper S has grabbed the top position in the Monte Carlo car race in a row from 1964-1967. The two-door Mini Cooper showcased in the recent Frankfurt Motor Show offers a lowered two-seater version to give the user a unique racing experience. The Mini Cooper is well-designed with tweaked aerodynamic body structure with balanced weight distribution to suit the racing car needs. The coupe is offered with four engine options to enhance the driving pleasure of the user.
Apart from the Mini Cooper coupe, a string of other version launches are anticipated including Mini Cooper hatchback and Mini Cooper Convertible. The launch of other models from Mini brand - Mini Countryman, a five-seater hatchback and Mini Clubman, a mini station wagon are also on the cards.
