General Motors is soon going to launch the Chevrolet Tavera facelift in India to meet the new BSIV emission norms. The new Chevrolet Tavera is reported to come with a major deviation from the current model. The redesigned head lamps are much broader and the fascia has a all new bumper providing a slight edge to the MPV. The Chevrolet badge sits in the center of the authentic Chevrolet specific split grille. These are the only changes reported as of now apart from the refurbished interiors which are worth mentioning considering the fact that the MPV facelift is long due and hasn't been revamped since its launch.
The major transformation comes in the 2.0 L common rail turbocharged Intercooled diesel engine of Rhino MUV, designed by the Continental International. The engine is sourced from the International Cars Motor Ltd that rolls out the Rhino MUV under the Sonalika brand. The best of the class diesel engine is capable of producing the peak power of 100 Bhp and a peak torque of 240 Nm in association with a 5 –speed manual gearbox. The MPV with a major boost in the fuel efficiency of 14-16 kmpl is likely to be the key selling point in the domestic car market. The new Chevrolet Tavera is said to be spotted recently by the satellite imagery of Earthfusion, which does not confirm if the spotted car is the upcoming Chevrolet Tavera or the current model. The Chevrolet Tavera is revamped to live up to its premiere image to lure the consumers into attraction.
