Toyota Motors is ready with the diesel variants of its Toyota Etios sedan and Toyota Etios Liva hatchback, both these cars will be launched on 9th of September 2011. Earlier there were reports in the Indian car market that Toyota Etios twins will come with 76 BHP oil burners, but it is now confirmed that both the cars will get 68 BHP oil burners, which will provide a decent mileage of 22 km per liter.

Now the question is as to what is the reason behind reducing the power of the diesel variants of the Etios twins , as it is pretty evident that Indian car market already has a tough competition between diesel cars. Even Tata Indigo Manza has higher power (90 BHP) than Toyota Etios sedan. As far as the Toyota Etios Liva is concerned, there are so many other hatchbacks in the Indian car market that keep the power and capacity to defeat Toyota Etios Liva. Toyota has been working aggressively to introduce the diesel variants of the Etios twins, the company expects to get an overwhelming response for the diesel variants of the Etios twins.
