First Tata Nano hits the road

The most awaited world's cheapest car, Tata Nano finally hits the Indian road on Friday, as its first customer got the keys of a vehicle that its manufacturer hope will transform travel for millions of Indians. Ashok Raghunath Vichare is the first customer of Tata Nano who took the delivery of a lunar silver colored LX variant of Tata Nano. The keys of the Tata Nano is handed over to its first owner by Tata motors' Chairman Ratan Tata.
Ashish Balakrishnan, who is working in a bank in Mumbai said that he could not wait more to take a joyride on Bandra-Worli Sea-Link with hif sunshine yellow colored LX model of Tata Nano.
The third Tata Nano is also a lunar silver colored LX model which is handed over to the Kores India Ltd, an office products-to-outsourcing firm.
Tata Motors selected 100,000 people were selected from ballot who will be delivered Tata Nano from the first lot. Tata Nano will be delivered to these customers by the March 2010.
