Ford among best employers in India as per a study conducted by Aon Hewitt

The American auto giantFord has been placed among the 25 best employers in India for the year 2011. This was revealed by a recent study conducted last week by Aon Hewitt, an International renowned global human resources consultancy services. The study placed Ford at 17th rank while making the list of first 25 best employers in India. Ford India is the only automobile industry in India to receive this title for the third time in the surveys conducted by Aon Hewitt from time to time during 2007, 2009, and 2011. The study was conducted in all the companies of Ford i.e., Ford India Private Ltd, Ford Business Services Centre and Ford Technology Services India. The same study was conducted in other major Indian companies also.

Talking on this achievement Mr. Michal Bonehsam, President and Managing Director, Ford India Pvt Ltd, said, that this is an award for their hard endeavors which endorses the culture of openness, development orientation and people focus among their 10,000 strong workforce. He also said that the company is proud to be the only automobile manufacturing company in India to be blessed with this award of best employers for third time.

With an investment of US$ 1 Billion Ford Motor Company established its roots in India with its manufacturing plant near Chennai. The Ford Company plans to establish itself as a hub for manufacturing small cars and low displacement engines for Asia Pacific and Africa Region.

The company has already announced the launch of 8 new cars of International standards between 2011 and 2020. To achieve this objective Ford has already taken up the necessary steps to speed up its manufacturing, sales and service operations. Recently company has introduced Ford Fiesta Sedan in Delhi which is the first car among the 8 new International cars to be launched by the company in coming next years.
