Ford Ecosport Covers Lifted at 2012 Beijing Motor Show ;More Details Emerge on Interweb

Ford Ecosport concept was showcased at the New Delhi Auto Expo held this January, and the production version covers were lifted at the ongoing Beijing Motor Show. The  sweeping concept was not notched down to make it production ready so what you get is a smart, stylish offroader.  Ford Ecosport SUV is equipped with the new 1L 3-cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost petrol engine that generates 120 PS max power with 170 Nm torque. This engine has as much power as the 1.6L engine with the fuel efficiency of a much smaller one. The fuel efficiency of the car is as good as 20 kmpl so the drive range is increased with the fuel consumption going as much as 20% less than the traditional 1.6L petrol engine.  The CO2 emissions number is also on the lesser side.

The ground clearance of Ford Ecosport is 200 mm, the SUV will take you where you want to go , the water wading capacity figures lay at 550 mm so you are pretty safe from the potholes, ditches or anything else that might hamper your drive safe. Ford Ecosport is inspired from Ford’s best selling sedan Fiesta, no wonder the interiors give you a déjà vu feeling, also the car has the same kinetic elements here, with the features like keyless entry and push button start stop and voice control system.
