Ford prepping up for the 2014 Fiesta launch

Ford India is ready for the third innings of the Fiesta brand, the face-lifted 2014 Fiesta sedan displayed at the Expo last month will be finally hitting the showroom anytime soon. The launching preparation are officially on as Ford India launched a micro site displaying the attributes and technologies of the new Fiesta.

At the outset, the new chromed trapezoidal grille in the new Fiesta echoes Aston Martin, imparting a true European look into this C segment sedan. The headlights are more streamlined and enrich the overall front profile. The side profile of the vehicle remains same. At the back, you'll see revised wrap around tail lamps, the subtle changes in the narrow rear profile of the outgoing version has been removed to some extent. The dual tone rear bumper offers reflectors flanked around chrome strip.

The new car offers automatic headlamps and wipers, ORVMs mounted foot lamp and newer shades. The Ford's emergency assist, first debuted in the EcoSport, will be also available in this 2014 Fiesta. On the inside, the car features newer version of Sync (co-developed with Microsoft) available on the EcoSport with Ford's AppLink support (App available on leading smart phones store). The car comes with all blue back-lit illumination with dual tone beige and black (glossy black inserts) interiors and beige leather upholstery. The new sedan offers plenty of smart storage space with rear seats split foldable to increase boot space.

Powering the Fiesta is the existing 1.5 TDCI diesel unit from the outgoing version churning out 90PS and 181Nm of torque. It is expected that the 'Blue Oval' will bring the enthralling 1.0 EcoBoost powerplant producing 125PS and 170Nm of max torque. The car also offers smart key less entry with engine start stop button.
