After the launch of Amaze Diesel, speculations are on rife that the company will launch Brio diesel by the end of 2013. However, Honda Car India CEO ends this speculation and said that the next diesel car to be launched in India will be the next-generation Jazz. We all know that Honda Amaze is an extended version of Brio hatch, so it is quite obvious that Brio diesel is also a possibility. However, it looks like company has no plans of launching diesel Brio, as the next-generation Jazz will be a diesel hatch, and it is understandable that Jazz diesel will do for Honda, what we could expect with Brio diesel. Recently, Japanese auto-giant has started a new production assembly line by investing Rs 2500 lakh at its Tapukara plant in Rajasthan. The production unit will have a production capacity of 120,000 units per annum and the first car from the new plant will be rolled out by the first half of 2014.
Within the next three years, Honda will launch five new cars. The next-generation Jazz and an all-new utility vehicle will be launched by early 2014. Jazz will make its debut first, then the next-generation City model will be launched in India. The compact utility vehicle segment is growing at a fast pace in India, and Honda too has plans to launch a Jazz based compact SUV and a new MPV. The company has recently showcased a Jazz based SUV concept and a new MPV concept, and both cars could also makes their way to the Indian auto Industry.
Yesterday, the Japanese auto-giant has launched its first ever diesel car 'Amaze' in India. The new car comes powered by a 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine which is capable of generating 100PS and 200Nm of top torque. Honda Amaze has an astonishing fuel economy of 25.8kmpl, which makes it India's most fuel efficient car. If the Brio comes in diesel than We could also expect the same engine to be used in future.
This is all we have on Honda Brio Diesel, stay tuned for more updates...Cheers!!
