Honda Brio expected to be launched in 2011

Honda Brio is all set to launch at the Bangkok Motor Show by the Japanese auto maker Honda. Honda has manufactured the small car especially for the Indian auto market's small segment. The car maker has christened the small car as Honda Brio, though it is coded as Honda 2CV.
Honda Brio will come with three cylinder petrol engine which is similar to the Honda Jazz four cylinder petrol engine. This 900 cc engine small car will be no less in power and is expected to pump almost 70 bhp of power. It is expected that Honda Brio may use Honda's i-VTEC system or it may totally discard the system for the regular valvetrain.

Honda is best known for its technology and safety features it is affixed with in its stylish cars. Honda Brio will also not disappoint on this front. Honda just like its other cars has equipped Honda Brio with airbags and ABS. These are the standard features which will be available in all the models. It is speculated that, the base model price with standard features will be almost 5 lacs.
Honda is expected to add 1.2 litre Honda Jazz engine on the Honda Brio later. The Japanese auto giant to enter the diesel segment is considering to come with 1.5 litre diesel powertrain in the Honda Brio and also in its premium sedan Honda City. It is expected to come with 900 cc engine with a price tag of around Rs 5 lacs to Rs 6.5 lacs.

The neonate from Honda's stable will be manufactured in Noida at the Honda's production unit. The Noida plant of the company is using 65 per cent of it capacity against the 100,000 units which it can produce. Honda will market its new small car in the Indian auto market and depending on the demand the, Japanese automobile manufacturer will shift the manufacturing facility in Rajasthan at Honda's Alwar plant. The booking of the small Honda Brio will begin next year. The new car from Honda's pavilion is one of the company's most ambitious car.
