Honda Brio parts to be sourced from China and Japan

The car with a promising career, Honda Brio still seems to suffer a downturn in fate. However, Honda India is determined to turn the situation around. As a part of it, Honda India is focused on other options like the manufacturing units of Honda in China and Japan to roll out the components. Very soon, the auto major is hoping to close the deal to have a sufficient supply of components from the countries. However, Honda India hopes to reach the normal levels of production by the month of February or March with the help from the two new resources.

Right from the launch, the car took off at amazing speed with 7500 bookings at present in hand. Giving in to the present conditions, the auto major had to call off the bookings for the car. The recent floods in Thailand has caused the shortage of components from Honda’s key manufacturing unit. Forget the bookings, the production of the small car has been brought to a halt. However, the company is looking for remedies to resolve the situation soon. Apart from Honda Brio, Honda Jazz is the other model from the car manufacturer to see a downside in production. While the Honda has given up on Brio, the Honda Jazz production is being carried out at a snail-paced level.

The same goes with the Honda Jazz bookings as well. The year 2011 has been a total disaster for the auto major. The monthly sales have hit the rock-bottom at 2000 units particularly in November. Despite the unfavourable conditions, the new Honda City launch was one thing to look forward to. Coming out of its deep troubles, the auto major launched the new Honda City yesterday. The auto major has new Honda Civic and 2012 Honda CR-V next coming up during 2012. The Honda Motors might unveil a compact SUV at the upcoming Auto Expo.
