Honda Siel had discontinued the old CR-V on its official website and has now put the new CR-V on the site. The new CR-V will be on sale from the 12th of February.
But the good bit here is that the costing of the new CR-V will be lower than its predecessor as this will help Honda to reduce the cost of the product and make it more competitive. Today, even the BMW X1 and even the Mercedes-Benz B-Class are locally assembled to cut down on the cost. Honda will be competing against the likes of these cars; hence a CBU won’t be a great idea. Our sources confirm that the new CR-V will be assembled locally to help Honda cut price the current competition.
The facelift version of the BMW X1 will be launched sometime by the end of this month and also the CR-V should be available in the market by February. The CR-V will be a five-seater, as Honda doesn’t want to add the extra two seats and compromise on space. The advantage that CR-V will have on the X1 will be the fact that it has all-wheel drive option and the general thought goes that the affordability of the CR-V is lesser than the X1.
