Hyundai to produce i20 in Turkey

Hyundai India, country's largest car exporter, is now aggressively planning to expand its export business to the country's like Turkey. The company is planning to transfer the partial production of Hyundai i20 model to Turkey soon.
The company is struggling with labor problem since last two years and if it shifts its manufacturing unit to Turkey, the delivery of this car will delayed by 2 to 3 weeks. Hyundai India is currently selling some of the most popular cars in India including Hyundai Santro Xing and Hyundai i10, Hyundai i20 and Hyundai Verna. Company is planning to phase-out its Getz model from India with focusing more on its latest hatchback i20.
Besides this the company is also looking for the possibility of taking its manufacturing facilities to countries like Australia and New Zealand. It is also planning to launch a small car in India by year 2012 which will be compatible to Maruti 800, the car will be manufactured at its India based plant. Company performed really well in starting two months of this year with registering highest-ever sales figures.
Hyundai India has already announced that it is going to increase price of its cars in India as it has to upgrade its vehicles to make them compatible to new emission norms, which are going to be implemented in India form starting of next month.
