Hyundai India has already started testing its upcoming compact SUV ix25 in India, the vehicle has been recently spotted testing for the first time in the country testing alongside its arch rivals Ford EcoSport and Renault Duster. Moreover, its concept version first debuted at the 2014 Auto China and the dragon land will be the first market for this upcoming SUV; ix25 is reportedly going on sale in China from October. Speaking about the Indian launch, as it is currently on testing expected launch is probably in the first half of next year.

This recent spy shot from China reveals that the compact SUV adorns premium features and inherited those meaner looks from its big-brother Santa-Fe. Features like day-time-running-LEDs, projector headlamps, LED taillamps are still absent in its segment! Making it a premium product compared to its major competitor, moreover, expect the interiors to be heavily loaded as this is a Hyundai! Its major rivals include, Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano, Mahindra Scorpio and Tata Safari Storme. But things does not end here, Mahindra Scorpio and Safari Storme both are getting facelifts this festive season. While the Duster facelift is also likely on cards this year though the 4WD version is launching next month with some major tweaks inside-out.

Adding to it, by the time Hyundai launches this SUV, Ford might also introduce facelifted version of its top-selling product – EcoSport! As by then, EcoSport would be two years old (launched in June 2013). Just like the Fiesta, the facelifted version of EcoSport will adorn the Ford's Kinetic design version 2 – Kinetic 2.0, making it more enticing than ever! So it would be very competitive market in 2015. Cheers!
